Griffith and Bixler is located 8 miles South of Reading, Pennsylvania in the village of Knauers. We have proudly served eastern PA for over 60 years. Griffith & Bixler was established in 1946 by John C. Griffith and Marvin H Bixler. The store has roots back to 1885, when Griffith’s great-great uncle Wayne founded a farming-goods emporium. Since 1946, Griffith & Bixler has been the premier furniture and design store in the Reading, PA area.
In September of 2007, Griffith & Bixler was bought by the Martin family of Davids Furniture & Interiors. Davids Furniture & Interiors was established in 1972 by David and Nancy Martin. From the beginning Davids presented a premier line of fine furniture and became the preferred destination for the best in quality, style, and selection of home furnishings in Central PA. In 2007, son Michael Martin took over as President and expanded the business from two stores, one in Harrisburg and one in Mechanicsburg, to a third location in Hagerstown, MD.
